Beginner to Advanced Students

OMI serves students ages 4-17 at all skill levels. We are able to start students between the ages of 4-5 depending on their physical and mental development.  If possible, we like to start training children as early as possible so that we can help them grow into advanced level musicians. Our goal is to send our students off into adulthood well-prepared musically and with a high level of maturity.

At OMI, students will:

1) Learn basic note and chord reading for recreational playing, and be challenged for further musical development.

2) Perform in festivals, recitals, and/or competitions if student desires to do so.

3) Establish a foundation of music theory and comprehensive understanding of music history.

4) Learn how to sing music theater and classical vocal repertoire effectively. (vocal students)

5) Learn and growth in a collaborative music environment with other students.
